A Type J thermocouple is a temperature sensor made from two different metals — Iron (Fe) and Constantan (Copper–Nickel alloy). These metals are joined at one end to form a measuring junction that produces a voltage proportional to temperature.

It is widely used for general-purpose temperature measurement in industrial and laboratory applications.
